How curb painting works

Tell us your address and town. There is no appointment to wait around for, and all we need from you is a clear curb on the day. Here is what happens from your first message to the dry paint.

Three simple steps

  1. Send your address

Use the short form to tell us your address, how many curbs you have and whether your number is already painted.

  2. We review your request

We follow up if we are able to complete your job, and we confirm your price before any work begins. One curb is $100, and multiple curbs get a reduced rate.

  3. We paint, you carry on

Our painter cleans the curb, lays a white base, stencils your number in black and leaves the spot tidy. You don’t have to be there.

On painting day

On a New York street, the painter starts by cleaning the curb, because paint won’t hold on grit or flaking layers. Next comes the white background, followed by your number in black, stenciled so that the digits stay straight and evenly spaced.

When it is done, we clear away our materials and let the paint cure. Keep tires off that stretch of curb for a little while, and you are finished.

Practical questions

Parking

The curb needs to be clear when we arrive. On blocks with alternate side parking, we will try to plan around street cleaning days.

Weather

Paint needs a dry surface and workable temperatures. If rain or cold gets in the way, we will reschedule rather than do a poor job.

Numbers only

We paint your official address, including hyphens. See what is included.

Common questions

How long does a single curb take?

A single curb is normally one visit. The paint then needs time to cure before it is driven against.

Can I watch or leave instructions?

You are welcome to do either, but you don’t need to be home. Add any notes in the request form.

Do you work in winter?

Weather limits painting on the coldest days, so winter dates depend on the forecast.

Where we work

We work throughout New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.
