Curb address painting for New York homes
A house number painted where drivers actually look: at street level, facing traffic, in numerals large enough to read from a moving car. One curb is $100.
Why put your number on the curb?
A lot of New York houses, from Bayside to Babylon, are hard to pick out from the road. Numbers end up on a shaded porch post, behind a hedge or under a stoop, and they often vanish after dark. Delivery drivers slow down and guess. Rideshare pickups go to the wrong door. Most importantly, an ambulance crew loses time searching a block.
A curb number doesn’t replace the one on your house. It backs it up in a spot that is easy to see from a car.
What happens on the day
- We clean dirt and loose paint off the curb

Common questions
How big are the numbers?
Large enough to read from the street, and sized to fit your curb and your address. Longer addresses, including hyphenated ones, are spaced to stay clear.
Will the paint last through winter?
We use exterior-grade paint, but New York curbs take a beating from plows, road salt and street sweepers. How long a number lasts depends on the location, and when it fades we can repaint it.
Is this required by law?
Painted curb numbers are a choice we offer, not something we are requiring you to have. Rules on curbs differ by city, town and village, so tell us your address and we will look at what applies before scheduling.
